Name: Aether (For those of us using Danish Keyboards, it uses that conjointed letter)
Type of Gym: Pokemon Native to the forest
Description/Picture: He has a head of hair much like the hero of Shadows of Almia. He's moderatly tall. Blue eyes. He wears a suit of "armor" made completely from bark held together by river weeds. Yes, it's itchy.
Personality: Aether is a pretty straightforward guy- he cares a lot about others, and never quits. Not too many complications. But he DOES have this bad habit of getting caught up in any game he plays, which is tough because his entire gym is based of Capture the Flag.
Gender: Dude
Pokemon:
Furret
Scyther
Breloom
Ampheros
Eastwood gym isn't a normal gym. As a matter a fact, it's still not official. It's actually a gaint wooden fort- home of the most extreme game of Capture the Flag out there. As a matter a fact, thats how you get the Banner Badge, Capture the Flag. The gym is run like a fort whenever a green flag is raised. If a challenger enters, it's red (just FYI, C*ered is a race which they hold ever month, and black is 'the gym is closed'). When it turns red, a horn is also blown and it will practically rain trainers trying to KO all your pokemon. They each send out one at a time, but you can send out more to fight them all off. You can't touch the flag, a pokemon must hold it, and thats why they have to stay healthy. The gym leader is in the room where the flag stands proudly, and beating him doesn't always get you the badge. People can get the flag and still get beaten by one of his apprentices on the way out (bringing the flag OUT of the gym is a win), and you can be sly and take the banner without battling Aether.
Once the flag has left the fort, the horn will blow again, and all flags will be lowered. Aether will then give a banner badge to any challanger who was in the fort at the time- thats right, you can grab your 300 closest friends and challange this gym, and only one of you has to win as long as you all do SOMETHING.
The largest limitation of Eastwood Gym becoming an official gym is the whole "Forest" thing. Not an elemental type. If they used a type, they could still become a gym- the odd capture the flag is ok as displayed by the Orange leuge- but they won't except a forest themed gym. Aether is trying his hardest to get them to change their mind, and Chuck (he's been to the gym and approves), Bugsy (close friend of Aethers), Erika (wants to give a Forest gym a chance) and Falkner (distant cousin of Aethers) as well as the many trainers who work at the gym/have beaten it all are signing a petition to get it aproved. It currently has 3,847 names out of the 5,000 the leuge wants.
Eastwood city is actually in the Johto Regoin. It's just south of Route 47, on the other side of the Eastwood, a large forest at the foot of the cliffs.
