yes it would. The Korokia region could connect to the Maize region.The Korokia region has it's own construction workers thank you very much. They are working on the Pokemon League in the Korokia region right now.
OK, the region is finished, can't get picture, so following the genius behind Avalon i will do something list my town similarly, Routes are not named cause Korokia people don't care about them.
1. Kaazan City
Kaazan City is located south of Galethan's Temple, which is a extinct volcano. The City is always bustling, as it is the city located east of the Pokemon League, Kaazan City Airport is still under construction, until then the region locals can not take vacations. The HORROR!!! Airport construction will be done when Grey and Sira see Leon battling a noobish trainer(remember Leon has a Speedboat).
2. Mirokio City
Another City in the Korokia Region, located on the higher side of the Region, Mirokio Cityis closest to Aviaan's Temple. Mirokio Manor is where Lark and Leon were born. LOL SPOILER!!! City has department store, has trains to get to other parts of the city and region.
3. KoroKoro Ruins
Not really a town but some archeologists have taken residence to further excavate the area. There is a Pokemon Center/Fossil reviving lab.
4. Raito Villiage (Light Village)
A friend of Lark's leaves his Ampharos here every winter so the villagers can see better. The village is the coldest place in the world, so dress warmly, Ice pokemon can be found in the snow covered plains nearby.
5. Doriru Village (Drill Village)
The same friend of Lark's leaves his Nidoking here on occasion to help the villagers dig wells.They make a profit out of whatever valuable gems and rocks they find, fossils are shipped to the Ruins. Ground and Rock Pokemon can be found just outside the village.
6. Psi Village
You know who leaves his Alakazam here on occasion to train it's Psychic abilities, the village is run by a Spirit Hunter named Kaman who is always right about spirits whereabouts, he is highly respected throughout the region.
7. South Korokia Port
The southern Port for the Korokia region, Malukhan the sea serpent lives down the in the oceans here. The Port's Luxury Liner Cruise Ship, The S.S. Voyager, is un-operational as Capt. William Porthollow, is waiting on the navigation parts. Many species of Water type pokemon can be found in the ocean.
8. East Korokia Port
The eastern Port of the Korokia region, the entire port is run by a power plant. But no one dares go to the power plant as reports of a powerful electric type pokemon that absorbs electricity and then becomes faster is residing there.( Electrivire Anyone?)
9. Lark's Estate.
Yes his estate is a town. His father is the mayor, but he has been missing for 12 years now. The town is run by Leon when he is there, when he is not, It is the town council that decides laws and the sort. The Mansion is 40 acres by 60 acres. Half the Mansion is a Hotel to visitors.

The 3rd Gym in the entire Region.
3. KoroKoro Caverns
A mysterious unexplored cave. Teeming with many pokemon
4.KoroKoro Research Facility
A Research Facility at the ruins. Many scientists study the mineral deposits, fossils, etc here.
5. Doriru Village Gem Cutting
Take gems found around the village here to get them cut into items and jewelry.
6. Doriru Village Gym
The second gym in the region. Elite Gym Leader Mantain is master of earth based pokemon(includes steel).
7. South and East Korokia Piers
Piers located at both Ports, rumors of a tunnel beneath them is starting to surface.
8. Lark's Estate Gym
The first ever gym in the region.
Gym leader unknown.
